The Course
Intensive course for global interactions
August - September 2022
"e-START program" is an online international exchange education program provided by Hiroshima University.
The course "Healthcare in a Global Perspective" is a part of the e-START program and implemented as an intensive course in August - September 2022 through the collaboration between School of Dentistry, Hiroshima University, Japan and Faculty of Dental Medicine, University of Airlangga, Indonesia.
The aim of this course is to provide an opportunity for students from both universities to exchange ideas and to experience global interactions. Focusing on healthcare in a global perspective, students are expected to gain deeper insights into what's happened globally and locally in the field of healthcare.
Students from both universities are divided into several groups and share their experiences, knowledge, and career prospects with other group members. Such interactions will facilitate to expand their diverse outlooks on healthcare and broaden their horizons.
In the final day, all students will gather online and present what they have learned from group discussion. Throughout the course activities, students need to exclusively use English as a common language. This also serves for students to increase their ability to effectively communicate in English.
The facilitators of this course hope that students will be able to make use of this opportunity as a step for further expansion of their global perspective on healthcare.
